Hide and show zones

Hide your zones when you need a clear view, and bring them back with one key.

Hide and show

Press Ctrl+Alt+D (you can change it in Settings), or choose Show / hide zones on Hedgerow's Home page or under Hedgerow on the desktop's right-click menu. While zones are hidden, your icons are hidden too. Showing the zones brings everything back exactly where it was.

Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Z also shows hidden zones, and moves the keyboard to them.

Show Desktop (Win+D)

Zones live on the desktop itself, so Show Desktop (Win+D) minimises your windows and leaves your zones in view.

Sometimes Hedgerow cannot place its zones on the desktop layer. Hedgerow's Home page then shows a warning that zones could not be placed on the desktop layer, and Show Desktop hides your zones along with your windows. Press Win+D again to bring them back. To try again, choose Exit from the tray menu and start Hedgerow again. If the warning comes back, the log has the details.
