Snapshots

A snapshot saves your zones as they are now: their names, where they are and their size, their rules and match order, how they look and how they sort, and which icons you pinned where. Save one before a big change, and return to it whenever you like. Your settings and your files are not part of a snapshot.

Save and restore

Choose Save snapshot… on the Home page or in the tray's Snapshots menu, or Save… on the Snapshots page. Give it a label you will recognise.
To go back, pick a snapshot on the Snapshots page and choose Restore. You can also choose one of your recent snapshots in the tray's Snapshots menu to restore it.

Restoring is safe

Before restoring, Hedgerow saves your current layout as a snapshot named "before-restore", so you can always undo a restore. Restoring changes only your zones. It never moves, copies or deletes files.

Tidying up

Pick a snapshot on the Snapshots page and choose Delete to remove it. Removing a snapshot cannot be undone, but it never touches your icons or files.
