Suggest zones

Suggest zones looks at the icons in your Desktop zone and proposes zones to sort them, such as Images, Documents, Installers, Shortcuts and Folders. It only suggests a zone when at least three icons would go in it and you do not already have a zone with that name.

Using it

1. Choose Suggest zones… on the Home page, on the Zones page, or from Hedgerow in the desktop's right-click menu.
2. Look over the proposed zones. Open Items under each one to see what would go in it.
3. Untick any you do not want and rename the others if you like.
4. Choose Create zones, or Cancel to leave everything as it is.

Each new zone gets one rule and is added to the end of the match order, just above the Desktop zone. You can move, rename and change the new zones afterwards. Icons you pinned in the Desktop zone stay where they are.

Nothing is lost

Before it creates anything, Hedgerow saves your current layout as a snapshot named "Before Suggest zones". If you do not like the result, restore that snapshot from the Snapshots page. No files are moved either way.
